Breaking down barriers.
Building belonging.

Nnọọ.My work began with a simple act: opening my home to Black queer people and bringing us together. What grew from those gatherings now reaches national and international stages, including Parliament Hill. As the founder of Black Pride Canada and Black Pride YYC, I’m proud of what we’re building together. That work has expanded to Black Pride Arts, a collective supporting Black queer artists across Canada. As the work grows, the people at its heart continue to shape its direction.Daalụ.

Belonging should never come with conditions.

I know what it means to enter a room and wonder which parts of yourself you’ll have to leave outside.“Without community, there is no liberation.” - Audre LordeMy work grows from that understanding. We deserve healthcare that understands us, spaces where our identities can exist together, and a say in the decisions shaping our lives.Through Black Pride, I bring people together to turn those needs into community support and collective power. We care for each other while breaking down the systems that make that care harder to reach. The future we deserve takes people willing to build it together.

Turning care into access

A referral means little when the person receiving you cannot understand your life. My background in technology and healthcare shapes how I approach community care: who gets heard, who feels safe asking for help, and what happens after they ask. That work includes connecting people with therapy, wellness support and professionals who understand the intersections we carry.

The freedom to build a life

Living openly has material consequences. People need income, housing and opportunities that allow them to make choices without sacrificing their dignity. Through career education, financial learning and mentorship, I help Black 2SLGBTQ+ people strengthen their independence and imagine futures beyond getting through the next crisis.

From lived experience to public accountability

I carry what our communities experience into rooms where policy and funding decisions are made. My parliamentary testimony and national advocacy connect those decisions to everyday realities: finding care, keeping a job and feeling safe. Through Black Pride Canada and Black Pride YYC, I work to turn community knowledge into demands that institutions must answer.
